元々ゴミだらけの沼地に住んでいたが、通りがかった妖精が誤ってこぼしてしまった魔法のエキスを浴びたことで言語が話せるようになり、更に魔法も使えるようになったんだとか。高い知能を持ったフィルベルトは池の外に関心を抱くようになり、池の近くに放置されていたガラクタを組み立てて池の外へ出られるボディを作った。ホースの手足を自在に操ることができる。
